Conversations about the difficulty of colonoscopy preparation piqued the interest of a group of
entrepreneurs in 2010, and in August of that same year The Colon Prep Center was founded. The founding
team came together with years of expertise in process improvement, technology development, and
healthcare knowledge.
After researching standard processes and speaking with several gastroenterologists, CPC identified many
areas in which the colonoscopy preparation process could be improved. We developed a seamless total
managed prep program that not only eases the confusion and anxiety for patients, but improves the
bottom line for physicians.
We quickly learned that the products prescribed do not, by themselves, make a successful prep. The process around the prep makes a big difference. By actively managing the patient through the preparation, Colon Prep Center not only produces more consistently positive outcomes for the patient, we create efficiencies in the office and produce revenue opportunities for the practice.
